Fair Information

The European Higher Education Fair took place in Manila on 23rd and 24th of February 2008 at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel.

A total number of 38 Higher Education Institutions and 10 National Representations from 11 EU member states exhibited at at the fair and a total of 2901 visitors attended over the 2 days. The fair was open from 11:00 - 18:00 on both days.

Apart from information booths where visitors were able to collect relevant information from representatives of the participating institutions, presentations were also made which enabled students to find out more about study opportunities and scholarship programmes, including programmes of the European Commission, such as Erasmus Mundus and its Masters Courses. All of the presentations were well attended.

The participation fee was EUR 650 per higher education institution, which covered:

free participation in the Asia-Link Symposium on 22nd February 2008
approximately 9 square metres of exhibition space for two days: 23rd-24th February 2008
standard booth (approx. 3m x 3m with fascia board and surrounding walls)
basic furniture and facilities in the booth (1 lockable cupboard, 2 chairs, 1 table, carpeted floor, 1 wastepaper bin, electric outlet, air-conditioning during opening hours, and basic cleaning and security services)
one entry in the official EHEF catalogue

Freight forwarding
Exhibitors were responsible for the transportation of their exhibition materials to the European Higher Education Fair in Manila. Exhibitors were free to use the contractor of their choice.

Via their worldwide network of agents, Schenker co-ordinated the movement of exhibition materials from their various points of origin in Europe to the Exhibition Hall (Makati Shangri-la Hotel)

Any contractual arrangement between an exhibitor and the freight forwarder is solely an arrangement between the two parties. The implementing agencies/organisers are not liable in the event of services or payments between the freight forwarder and an exhibitor not being provided as contractually agreed upon.

Insurance
Your shipment will not be insured by the organisers. In case you wish it to be insured, please procure insurance yourself.

Documentation
Full details of documentation requirements for Philippines and consignee details will be circulated to all exhibitors by Schenker in due time.

Whichever freight forwarding company you choose to use, further details on transportation, delivery and labelling will be available in the exhibitor manual which selected exhibitors will receive by email.
